("ORCHID" FLOWER MARKET)
Space Gallery, Jakarta

Toko Bunga “Anggrek” was opened for the second time one year after the first opening and took place at Santa Traditional Market in South Jakarta region.
As before, Toko Bunga “Anggrek” provided a simulation of activities in a flower market which involved visitors to play roles as customers, sellers, artisans, also persons who delivered and received flower arrangements.
Santa Traditional Market had experienced an endless swing during the year of 2015. A large new incomings of modern shop tenants, which later on switched quickly like seasons, had changed the face of the market. This phenomenon brought a number of conflicts which jeopardized the existence of old tenants and, indirectly, the market itself at the end of 2015.
This time, Toko Bunga “Anggrek” provided not just paper flower bouquets but also flower boards to be arranged by exhibition visitors. Inspired by #SavePasarSanta and #SustainablePasarSanta movements, Toko Bunga “Anggrek” purchased its flower arranging equipments from various stores in Santa Traditional Market area as an act of support for them.
